Addis Housewares Options Launch

Addis, Britain’s oldest and largest housewares brand, undertook a review of its core kitchen plastics offering, including kitchen bins, kitchen bowls and draining racks. Design improvements were combined with contemporary colours to offer consumers a quality range with undeniable appeal.

How do you communicate improvements to functional products that we all use and take for granted?

The Options brand launch needed a very creative approach to capture trade and consumer press attention and interest. We devised a variety of successful and humorous mechanics including "Bin Personality Profiles" to generate the needed hook for the story. The Options launch was Addis’ most successful and profitable ever, securing new distribution and solidifying its position as brand leader. The launch was solely supported by public relations with no consumer advertising.
